Data Scientist

A Security startup in the Behavioral Biometrics space has developed a unique AI-powered SaaS security solution tailored for the gaming industry. Their core expertise lies in Machine Learning and Behavioral Biometrics, building innovative products that have never been created before.

Beyond ensuring product quality, they focus on enhancing player safety, leveraging unique sensors that process large-scale data to help gaming companies solve major cybersecurity challenges—such as detecting finger touches, motion on mobile devices, and more. Their tech environment is currently being established.

The company is based in Tel Aviv (near a train line), offers a hybrid model with two remote workdays per week, and consists of 10 employees, set to double this year.

Founded by experienced entrepreneurs with successful exits in the past.

The role:

• Part of the Data Science team, involving data analysis, development, research, and production deployment.
• Work includes Machine Learning models, some Deep Learning/AI, and Big Data processing with Spark, AWS, Python, and large-scale data extraction.
• The role also involves working with mobile/PC sensors, Time Series data, and Fraud detection.
• The security product is designed for the gaming industry, detecting user behavior anomalies, bot activity, and more with future plans to expand beyond gaming (excluding gambling-related fields).

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data analysis, and data science.
• Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative out of the box approaches / solutions in domains with limited references or open source solutions.
• Extensive experience with production-grade machine learning systems, handling terabytes of data.
• Proven ability to implement end-to-end AI solutions across all stages: data collection, annotation, analysis, deployment, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in Python and key data science libraries, demonstrating a strong foundation in the tools essential for modern data science.
• Expertise in PySpark and Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Databricks).
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Critical thinker with a research-oriented mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
