What's Guardio?

Guardio is a B2C cybersecurity startup offering security and privacy solutions directly to consumers - regular people, not corporate companies. We develop products you’d want for yourself, your parents, family, and friends. Our goal is to protect real people from cyber problems and crime. We try and avoid buzzwords, but sometimes those keywords are necessary: we help our customers avoid and combat the modern world’s security threats, like phishing, financial scams, malware, browser hijacking, identity theft, data leaks, and a whole lot more.

Guardio is a relatively small company (we just passed 90 people) on a rapid growth path, and we’re looking for core team members to join our team. We already have well over a million registered customers and plenty of new products and features in the pipeline.

We're looking for a Backend Team Lead to drive our security product and build robust, scalable systems that protect millions of users. You'll lead the design and implementation of innovative security features, integrate real-time cyber threat intelligence, and work closely with top security experts.

• Lead a team of experienced engineers working with Python, cloud infrastructure, and more.
• Drive the full product lifecycle from architecture and design to development, testing, and production.
• Set high coding standards, coach your team, and refine processes to ensure top-notch quality.
• Stay hands-on by contributing to the codebase and staying current with emerging technologies.
• Build robust, high-scale, low-latency systems that protect users in real time against cyber attacks.
• Collaborate closely with cybersecurity researchers and analysts to innovate cutting-edge security products.
  
  

• You have 2+ years leading teams and 5+ years building backend or full-stack applications from the first commit to production.
• You’re a fast, self-learning, all-around problem solver who turns product goals into high-quality deliverables.
• You excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams and have top-notch communication skills.
• You’re experienced with both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of the web cyber-security landscape, vulnerabilities, and attack surfaces
• Bonus: Experience with big data systems like BigQuery.
