Dev Ops Engineer Coming out of Units 8200 and 81 - Israeli Based

Mothership is excited to search for skilled crew members that can function as a Dev Ops Engineer.

Seeking candidates out of Israeli's Main Intelligence Unit 8200 and 81, the Intelligence Corps Technological Unit that supplies cutting-edge technologies to Israeli Combat Soldiers.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our infrastructure and deployment processes. You will work closely with developers to ensure smooth and reliable operations for our applications and services. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in scripting, cloud infrastructure, and a desire to continuously learn and improve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build & Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Support continuous integration and deployment processes to streamline the release cycle.
• Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain automation scripts, primarily in Python and PHP, to enhance deployment and operational efficiency.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up and maintain monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot bottlenecks and enhance the deployment lifecycle.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices to safeguard applications and infrastructure.
• Version Control: Collaborate using version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab for managing code repositories.
• Configuration Management: Utilize tools like Ansible or Chef to automate system configuration and deployments.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in a DevOps and system administration.
• Familiarity with scripting languages, especially Python and PHP.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Basic understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of system monitoring and logging tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and microservices.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
• Basic networking knowledge, including load balancing and firewalls.
• Certifications in relevant technologies are a plus but not required.
