Position Summary:

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will lead the development of sophisticated test automation frameworks and establish best practices for testing across complex software systems. Your role will involve working closely with engineering, product, DevOps and Mobile teams to set up robust automated testing solutions and ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software. You’ll play a key role in mentoring junior QA engineers, setting standards across all R&D teams, and guiding the QA team in automation best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Architect, design, and implement scalable automation frameworks to maximize test coverage and efficiency.

·        Define, implement, and drive the automation testing strategy, including identifying and selecting appropriate automation tools and frameworks for all R&D platforms.

·        Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on test strategies, automation processes, and quality goals.

·        Lead and participate in code reviews, and automation design reviews, to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices across all R&D teams.

·        Actively conduct root cause analysis on defects, identify trends, and provide long-term solutions to enhance test stability and performance.

·        Conduct comprehansive testing, including API, UI, integration, performance and mobile testing to validate end-to-end system functionality.

·        Establish and monitor key metrics to assess automation coverage, quality, and efficiency, providing regular reports to leadership.

·        Mentor and train junior QA engineers sharing expertise on automation testing, framework implementation, and problem-solving.

·        Continuously research and implement new tools, methodologies, and industry trends to drive process improvements and maintain state-of-the-art automation solutions.

·        Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for test plans, automation frameworks, test scripts, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity within the team.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

·        Minimum of 6 years of experience in QA automation and software testing.

·        At least 2 years as a senior or lead automation role.

·        Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or NodeJS, TypeScript.

·        Extensive experience with automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright and TestNG.

·        Experience in API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

·        In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

·        Familiarity with mobile testing tools and performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner.

·        Experience with security testing methodologies is an advantage.

·        Proven leadership and mentoring abilities with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·        Strong communication skills.

·        Experience with Agile methodology, familiarity with BDD or TDD methodologies is preferred.

·        Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.

·        Ability to work independently.
