Claims Adjustor

We are looking for Claims Adjustor:

Main Purpose of the Role

Loss incidents/events, moderate scale claims handling and related recovery from other liable parties.

Identify, analyze and provide consultation on risks within cargo carriage over sea.

Major areas of responsibility

Identify future risks

• Identify and analyze risks within cargo carriage, which may cause damage to the company or cause lawsuits.
• Take actions in order to prevent incidents or lawsuits:
• Create and implement procedures regarding cargo carriage
• Develop and conduct trainings regarding cargo carriage.

Manage cargo carriage incidents and claims

• Handling incidents in order to prevent lawsuits or minimize the damage and the cost to the company
• Analyze and investigate the incidents in preparation of legal proceedings
• Instruct and guide the relevant internal and external stakeholders: agents, country managers, lawyers, surveyors and private investigators
• regarding measures that should be taken in order to minimize the company’s exposure
• Handle moderate scale cargo claims and negotiate with claimants /clients.
• Identify and take actions against relevant claims related third parties
• Gather data and prepare reports for management

Requirements:

• Academic education: LL.B– a must
• Experience and ability to write in a legal manner – a must
• Experience in law of torts – an advantage
• Experience in insurance- an advantage
• High level of English language (Speaking, reading and writing)
• Negotiation skills - an advantage
• IT oriented – an advantage
