About Afghanistan National Organization Of The Deaf - ANOD

In order to provide special education services for children and people with hearing impairments, the Afghanistan National Organization of the Deaf (ANOD) is an OPD that has been in operation in Kabul since 2003. Since 2005, it has been in charge of deaf school initiatives. Men and women (boys and girls) with impairments form the nonprofit, nonpartisan (ANOD) organization. Through special education, the organization hopes to improve the social and economic inclusion of individuals with hearing impairments. It is registered with the Ministry of Economy under registration number 4751.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

This role involves managing collections, purchasing, preparing payroll, and creating cashbooks using spreadsheets. The Finance Officer will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and adherence to financial regulations and guidelines.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparing financial reports on a monthly basis according to a predetermined schedule and when requested by ANOD.
• Preparing payroll distribution forms for employees.
• Calculating salary taxes and following the necessary procedures with government authorities, including tax clearance.
• Generating financial reports for the Ministry of Economy and other relevant departments, if necessary.
• Providing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for project donors.
• Participating in bid comparison meetings.
• Managing financial documents using a dual-entry system and maintaining them in software.
• Collaborating with administrative staff to prepare monthly cash forecasts.
• Utilizing QuickBooks software for financial documentation.
• Performing additional financial tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Ensuring compliance with ANOD policies for all activities of the National Organization of the Deaf.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Proficient in using spreadsheets MS. Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess qualities of humility, maturity, respectfulness, honesty, and integrity.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
