AS-400 RPG programer

The team is entrusted with the ongoing operation of the AS/400 array in the organization and is responsible for maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, backups, consulting the development teams, quality control of the development, establishing an application infrastructure, developing interfaces to external systems and more.

Administrative and professional subordination to the head of the AS/400 infrastructure team.

hebrew speaking is a must!

Internal training to familiarize yourself with the AS/400 system in the organization.

Regular maintenance of the AS/400 infrastructure.

Troubleshooting.

Consulting the development teams in the aspect of effective development.

Control over developments that go into production.

Setting up monitoring as needed.

Development of applied infrastructure for various needs.

Writing procedures and documentation.

Specializing in infrastructural issues, while implementing innovations provided in new versions.

Job requirements:

• Degree in computer science/engineer/graduate of computer major/graduate of a technology unit in the IDF (Maram, 8200, ICT and equivalent units)/advanced courses in information systems - mandatory.

• At least 5 years of experience in the field of AS/400 or in RPG development or as an infrastructure man/woman - mandatory.

• Over two years of experience in development in RPG, CLP - mandatory.

• Knowledge of the AS/400 system is required.

• Ability to work under pressure even during non-routine hours, including remote support in case of breakdowns.
