Mission

DoorLoop is hiring a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive information security strategy that safeguards the company’s sensitive data, systems, and infrastructure. As a CISO, you will foster a culture of security awareness across all departments, build and manage the IT department, and ensure our security measures align with industry standards and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s information security strategy, aligning with business objectives.
• Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulations and industry frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC1/2).
• Define and oversee the integration of security systems and tools to protect sensitive data, systems, and infrastructure.
• Manage security incident detection and response processes, including investigation, containment, recovery, and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into software development, infrastructure management, and business processes.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships to evaluate, procure, and implement security technologies and services.
• Provide executive-level reporting on the state of cybersecurity, risks, and ongoing initiatives.
• Build and lead the company IT department, fostering a culture of collaboration between all company departments.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, advising on security implications of business decisions
• Manage security issues, mitigating risk concerns for clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive responses to customer security questionnaires, ensuring alignment with the company’s security practices and commitments.
  
  

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security/technology.
• At least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
• Proficiency with security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.
• Background in managing incident detection and response processes, including forensic investigations.
• Experience collaborating with software development and business teams to embed security into organizational processes.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing teams.
• Familiarity with integrating security systems and tools across cloud environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, including the evaluation, procurement, and implementation of security solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements related to cybersecurity and data protection.
• Ability to take on new challenges, with a “can do” mindset.
• Experience in a high-availability SaaS environment.
