Global Tax Manager

We are looking for an experienced Global Tax Manager, Sole Tax Expert in the company, reporting to the VP of corporate finance. Leading global tax reporting and compliance, ensuring tax returns are complete and accurate to minimize tax obligations, in charge of tax global planning in preparation for future filings, responsible for finance regulatory issues, etc.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Deal with the company's taxation issues; oversight of global tax planning and annual tax returns of all subsidiaries.
• Responsible for tax-related data incorporated in the financial statements (including FIN48 and FIN18).
• Plan and prepare annual/state/federal tax returns for all the company subsidiaries on a timely basis.
• Oversee international taxation and transfer pricing.
• Plan, direct, and execute various tax projects.
• Research and prepare/review technical tax memorandums.
• In charge of customs compliance and saving.
• Responsible for VAT/GST reporting and compliance.
• Support the VP finance and stakeholders to minimize task risks associated with IPOs, M&As and other business dealings.
• Responsible for dealings with IIA and other global incentive plans.
• Charged with coordinating and analyzing financial plans and forecasts, working independently to provide information to management.
• Assists with monthly and quarterly-end closing, year-end audits, ad-hoc requests and other mandatory corporate financial requirements.
• Responsible for monitoring and meeting regulatory compliance requirements, training process owners on compliance with those requirements,
• providing assistance with documentation, performing reviews, and completing tests as required. Critically analyzing processes and controls,
• identifying deficiencies and assisting with remediation efforts.
• Responsible for managing operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Develops system controls to ensure data integrity.
• Assists with special projects on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance awarded by a university or a leading college – essential.
• CPA with at least 4-5 years’ worth of experience as CPA.
• Big-4 background – essential
• Experience with US GAAP- an advantage.
• Proven experience in a global, multi-currency company.
• Experience in local and global taxation - essential
• Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in developing financial models and graphs.
• Proficiency in SAP– an advantage.
• Very strong analytical skills.
• Good leadership skills; able to clearly communicate a vision, direct and motivate individuals and teams and influence decisions.
• Team player.
• Able to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Methodical and systematic approach to work with the ability to multitask in a matrix-structured organization.
• Able to integrate large quantities of detailed information from many sources into a clear progress report.
• Excellent English (both verbal and writing) – Essential.
