Mechanical Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to join the company's R&D Mechanical Engineering team, lead new product development initiatives, ensuring the successful development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies in robotic pollination.

Role responsibilities

• Developing the robotic pollination technology of the company
• Lead and manage all product development aspects from idea to production.
• Planning and documenting experiments
• Infield service support - technical diagnostic, solutions proposing and implementation
• Working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• Product development and continuous engineering: Cost reduction, NPI

Requirements

• Mechanical background and experience in creating and building hardware prototypes from scratch.
• Hands-on experience in the design, assembly, and testing of systems combining mechanics and electronics
• Proficiency in 3D modeling 
• Driving license & and a car
• Availability to stay abroad for short periods

Preferable profile

• Experience with hydraulic systems 
• Experience with building devices for agriculture / outdoor use 
• Experience with robotics 
• Experience with OpenBOM
