Navin, a pioneering company in the field of Indoor Navigation, is looking for a passionate Junior Indoor Mapper & QA to join our innovative mapping team!

At Navin, we develop cutting-edge technology for our indoor navigation platform. Our vision is to enable navigation in public buildings and campuses where GPS doesn’t work, and traditional solutions fall short.

The Role:

As an Indoor Mapper, you’ll be using Navin’s technological systems to create accurate maps of public buildings. This includes collecting data, performing quality assurance (QA) testing, and ensuring the information displayed on the maps is accurate and functional. You’ll also engage in software testing, debugging, and user experience evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mapping: Create detailed maps of buildings and campuses from A to Z.
• Data Collection: Collect electromagnetic signals and match them with the map to generate precise geographical locations.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the map content and functionality meet high-quality standards.
• User Experience Testing: Test and improve the usability of the mapping system.

Requirements:

• Technological mindset and eagerness to learn new systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage detailed tasks.
• Strong spatial awareness and orientation skills.
• Willingness to travel and perform tasks across Israel.
• Motivated self-starter eager to take the first steps in the startup ecosystem.

Position Details:

• Part-time
• Work Location: 70% fieldwork, 30% office-based (Office located in Kfar Saba).

Detailed Job Description:

An Indoor Mapper specializes in creating accurate, detailed maps of indoor spaces. This role includes:

• Data Collection: Gathering physical measurements, scans, and data from building management systems.
• Map Creation: Using software like CAD or BIM to convert collected data into 2D maps.
• Feature Identification: Labeling key features like elevators, stairs, accessible entrances and emergency exits for effective navigation.
• Accuracy & Quality Assurance: Ensuring maps are precise and meet quality standards.
• Maintenance: Regular updates to maps to reflect changes in the space.

Indoor mapping is crucial for applications like wayfinding, emergency planning, facility management, and virtual tours.
