Senior System Administrator – Leading Defense Company

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to join our IT team at a leading defense company.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networks, routers, and servers in medium to large-scale environments.

This role requires deep expertise and extensive experience in managing complex systems and networks.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining Windows servers and virtual environments
• Operating and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and communication equipment
• Designing and implementing advanced network solutions and communication infrastructure
• Monitoring and troubleshooting IT systems and servers, identifying and resolving issues
• Managing users and permissions in Active Directory and cloud environments
• Maintaining backup and disaster recovery systems
• Leading technology projects and upgrading existing systems
• Working closely with development and support teams to provide IT solutions

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator in Windows environments and network management – Mandatory
• Security clearance – Mandatory
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange
• Experience in managing and operating network infrastructures, including routers, switches, and network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Experience in backup and disaster recovery systems (e.g., Veeam, Backup Exec)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
