Assistant Controller

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our corporate finance team. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is an innovative and results-driven professional with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and corporate finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements and annual audits in compliance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Support the monthly closing process, including preparing working papers, calculating accruals, reviewing reporting packages, and conducting analytical procedures.

• Oversee and execute internal controls and SOX compliance, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting processes, including ITGC & APC-related controls.

• Collaborate with external auditors on audits, accounting matters, and financial reporting requirements.

• Monitor and review financial data accuracy, ensuring alignment with department objectives and corporate goals.

• Prepare statutory reports, including tax filings, CBOS, and IIA reports.

• Perform ad hoc financial analyses and tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• CPA qualification with experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Bilingual in English & Hebrew (spoken and written).

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and problem-solve.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.

• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

• Experience in the biotech industry and PCAOB auditing – a plus.
