Senior Researcher

TextRe, which develops innovative technology for recycling textile waste 🌏 👕 into sustainable engineering materials for various industries, is looking for a researcher.

The TextRe development group is seeking a chemist/chemical engineer/materials scientist. The role combines research and development of processes and product characterization, and is suitable for researchers with curiosity and motivation to integrate into the industry through practical laboratory work, growing together with the company, with a clear vision of creating significant environmental impact.

The role includes:

1. Conducting research and process development, understanding the range of parameters affecting the recycled product and quantifying their impact.

2. Supervising external experiments conducted in the process laboratory.

3. Performing practical laboratory experiments while working with laboratory equipment, processes, and engineering.

4. Collecting data, documenting and summarizing results, drawing conclusions.

5. Researching and developing characterization methods for raw materials and process products.

6. Conducting relevant literature reviews.

7. An interesting and challenging work environment that includes innovation and the development of advanced processes/products.

Job requirements:

1. Master’s degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Materials. Plastic engineering - advantage

2. High technical ability in R&D and process work and problem-solving skills.

3. Curiosity, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly.

4. Experience in R&D from previous roles - an advantage.

5. Experience working with industrial machines from previous roles, such as extruders - an advantage.

6. Knowledge and experience in diverse analytical methods including chemical and rheological characterizations - an advantage.

7. High level of spoken and written English is essential.

8. Ability to work in a team and independently.

Mobility and flexibility are required to reach laboratories where experiments and tests are conducted in two different areas.
