We are seeking a Head of Ecosystem Development to drive the growth and advancement of the climate tech ecosystem. This pivotal role empowers startups, facilitates knowledge-sharing, and shapes initiatives that strengthen the ecosystem. You will lead strategic projects, cultivate high-impact partnerships, and develop programs that address the evolving needs of startups and stakeholders. Your work will support startup growth by fostering collaboration with key industry players and organizations and the development of ecosystem insights and platforms that enhance visibility, collaboration, and innovation within the sector. Additionally, you will oversee PLANETech’s marketing and operations, including branding strategies, digital and physical asset management, and the seamless execution of events and programs such as our flagship global climate conference.

Areas of Responsibility

·      Build and develop new ideas and initiatives to support the expansion and growth of the climate tech ecosystem.

·      Expand and strengthen the Israeli climate tech ecosystem by fostering relationships with over 8,000 Community members, cultivating personal connections, and managing digital assets to enhance engagement and collaboration.

·      Manage and create strategic relationships with new and existing ecosystem partners, including startups, investors, public sector partners, academia, and service providers, to identify technology challenges and lead engagements.

·      Lead end-to-end project management, encompassing planning, strategy development, and successful execution of initiatives.

·      Spearhead communication and engagement with startups, providing strategic guidance, mentoring, and business development support to create new opportunities, pilots, POCs, or commercial agreements across diverse climate challenges and growth stages.

·      Support the development and growth of new startups in the climate tech ecosystem.

·      Oversee full operational responsibilities, including managing diverse projects, day-to-day operations, open innovation processes, events, programs, CRM systems, and the PLANETech annual global climate conference.

·      Direct and manage PLANETech’s marketing and branding efforts, coordinating the creation of digital and physical assets and collaborating with designers, developers, and partners to ensure robust support for all initiatives.

Requirements

·      Strong grasp of climate tech, sustainable practices, and climate change.

·      Minimum of 2 years of prior work experience with startups in the tech ecosystem.

·      Proven experience in ecosystem building, partnerships, business development, and innovation.

·      Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·      Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity.

·      Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in multi-stakeholder roles.

·      Experience in delivering projects and programs from vision to completion.

·      Fluency in English and Hebrew (written and spoken).

·      Strong competencies in project management and event production (required).

·      Skilled at managing social media platforms, newsletters, and social media campaigns (required).

·      Marketing and branding experience (advantage).

*This is a hybrid position, requiring at least three days per week in our Tel Aviv office. The candidate should be open to flexible working hours, including occasional participation in and organization of evening events, meetings, and calls.
