BMC Software – Tel Aviv is looking for a Software Development Manager who is passionate about technology and leading high-performing engineering teams. This is a unique opportunity to drive the development of an innovative product from scratch as part of the BMC AMI Cloud portfolio.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and building a complex hybrid cloud solution, utilizing advanced methodologies for high-performance storage and backup systems. You will play a key role in shaping the product’s strategy, making critical technical decisions, and ensuring seamless execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Beyond technology, you will focus on hiring top global talent, mentoring, and developing engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture, and guiding your team toward success.

• Lead and manage a team of skilled engineers, driving innovation and excellence.
• Hire, mentor, and develop talent, fostering a culture of growth and high performance.
• Own the end-to-end development of a cutting-edge product—from architecture and design to full-scale deployment.
• Collaborate across teams—work closely with QA, DevOps, IT, Support, and Product Management to ensure seamless execution.
  
  

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 4+ years of experience in directly managing Agile software development teams.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise software development.
• Proven experience in hiring, mentoring, and task management.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps technologies.
• Deep understanding of the importance of highly automated QA environments.
• Hands-on project management skills and experience.
• Ability to manage and optimize complex CI/CD processes.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for adopting modern technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  
  

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• Knowledge of Mainframe technologies and tools
• Proficiency in Linux
• Strong skills in Java, DevOps, and automation
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field
