Head of Electrical Engineering for Production

Job Overview:

Israel Shipyards seeks an experienced Head of Electrical Engineering for Production to oversee and manage all electrical activities within our shipbuilding and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise the production of electrical panels.
2. Oversee electrical wiring in vessels and complex steel constructions.
3. Manage a team of 5 to 10 electricians.
4. Supervise electrical work performed by contractors.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Certification as an Electrical Engineer or Certified Practical Engineer.
2. A Certified Electrician license is mandatory.
3. Proficiency in English, including the ability to read technical specifications in English.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical diagrams.
5. 5–10 years of experience as an electrical department manager, team leader, or chief electrician.
6. 3–5 years of experience in direct management of employees.
7. Proven experience managing and supervising subcontractors.
8. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across multiple interfaces.
9. Proficiency in computer systems.
10. Availability to work full-time, including overtime when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience and knowledge of electrical systems in marine vessels.
2. Background as a Navy veteran.
3. Familiarity with the Priority system.
