Phibro, a global leader in animal health and nutrition, is seeking a Production unit Manager to lead and manage a major production department at our flagship plant in Beit Shemesh. This role includes direct management of four team leaders and overall responsibility for approximately 50 production employees.

This position involves overseeing multiple production technologies simultaneously, including tablets, cultures, processing & filling, and general manufacturing. The Production Manager will report to the Senior Production Manager and will be part of the manufacturing leadership team.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

✅ Lead the production department in engineering and process projects.

✅ Serve as a member of the production leadership team.

✅ Manage all aspects of vaccine production, including planning, execution, employee training, and qualification.

✅ Participate in OPEX (Operational Excellence) initiatives within the plant.

✅ Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, making critical decisions as needed.

✅ Collaborate with various plant departments – TSA, QA, Engineering, Maintenance, and Laboratory.

✅ Initiate and lead efficiency and continuous improvement processes to optimize production performance.

✅ Analyze SPC (Statistical Process Control) and QC (Quality Control) results, compile reports, derive operational conclusions, and present findings.

✅ Play an active role in introducing new technologies and products into production.

✅ Execute, monitor, and track CCP (Critical Control Point) tasks within the plant.

✅ Supervise and enhance microbiological monitoring policies in clean rooms, including investigation of findings.

✅ Lead strategic operational teams for long-term plant projects (10-year planning).

✅ Manage risk assessments for new and non-routine processes (safety & quality).

✅ Oversee and guide experiments (EXP) initiated by the production or supporting departments.

✅ Improve workflows and equipment processes in the production area.

✅ Maintain strong presence on the production floor during critical production stages.

✅ Conduct regular management routines, including monthly performance meetings, team leader sessions, and cross-departmental coordination meetings.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

📌 Requirements:

🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences – Mandatory

🏭 Previous experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant

👥 Proven experience in managing managers – Mandatory

💻 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Mandatory

🌍 High-level English proficiency

📊 Experience with ERP systems – Advantage
