We are often asked what "Snooze" is. Is it a gaming venture that makes an app? Does it produce podcasts? Is it a venture with communities that promote open dialogue, inclusion, and honesty in a world where there are so many fears, difficulties, and challenges, even to share what we feel?

We believe that Snooze is much more than a gaming venture. It is a social movement that promotes openness, vulnerability, sharing, and inclusion. The reason we do what we do is that we want to help people take care of their mental health and be happier every day, to feel better and to inspire them.

Main Accountabilities:

Narrative & Story Creation:

• Develop compelling and original narratives, crafting rich and immersive game worlds.
• Write engaging dialogue, compelling text, and captivating story sequences that drive the plot and resonate with players.
• Design memorable and believable non-player characters (NPCs) with well-defined motivations.
• Leverage a deep understanding of human psychology to create authentic and emotionally impactful characters and stories.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to seamlessly integrate the narrative into the game.

Game Economy:

• Design and balance the game's economy, encompassing currency systems, resource management, reward structures, and more.
• Analyze data and metrics to refine the game economy and maximize player engagement.
• Create robust economic models that ensure game balance and prevent "pay-to-win" scenarios.
• Apply a solid understanding of fundamental economic principles, such as supply and demand, value, and market dynamics.
• Monitor game performance and implement necessary economic adjustments.

User Experience (UX):

• Apply fundamental UX principles to game design, ensuring an enjoyable and intuitive player experience.
• Design clear and user-friendly interfaces.
• Consider the diverse needs and expectations of different player demographics.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to continuously improve the player experience.

Overall Objectives:

• Create games with rich and captivating narratives that emotionally resonate with players and immerse them in the game world.
• Develop a balanced and stable game economy that provides a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.
• Ensure a smooth and intuitive user experience that allows players to focus on the story and gameplay.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in game design, with a portfolio showcasing strong narrative and economic design skills.
• Exceptional storytelling and world-building abilities.
• Solid understanding of game economy principles and data analysis.
• Familiarity with UX principles and user-centered design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for gaming and an understanding of the gaming industry.
• Candidates with a course in game design.
• Candidates with a degree in game design, or psychology/economics, who also have a supplementary course in game design, will have a distinct advantage.
