About the Role

We are looking for a System Engineer with a can-do approach to join our R&D and engineering Team. You will be responsible for the System Architecture as the company scales up and for performing analytical as well as hands-on system engineering work along the way.

In this role you will take a major part in all project phases and will be responsible for end-to-end design process of SpearUAV systems and products, starting from requirements and architecture definition, through the development, integration and validation and verification of the system, moving to serial production, and delivery to the end user and implementation in the field.

You will work closely with all Spear Teams such as: Product Unit, Program Unit, Business Unit as well as with all R&D teams (SW, HW, Mechanics, etc.) and will be the technical authority for backing deep technical liaison with customers.

You will be the one to analyze the customer needs and translate it into system design documents for all the R&D, Engineering and Technical teams.

Responsibilities:

• Outlining and managing the system architecture based on the system requirements.
• Planning and executing the integration and V&V phases of the company’s systems, both in the laboratory as well as in the field, to prove the system performance.
• Leading and performing in-depth failure root cause analysis and deriving and executing corrective actions until a stable solution and a proper system functionality and performance.
• Preparing the technical solution section for RFPs.
• Leading internal and external engineering reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, etc.).
• Supporting the Business Unit (Sales, Marketing and Program Manager) in all the technical aspects.
• Deriving clear development requirements to the different disciplines (HW, SW, Mechanics, optics, etc.), based on the SOW and customer requirements.
• Preparing all the relevant engineering and technical documents related to the system development and documentation (Compliance Matrix, V&V, test plan TRD, ATP, etc).

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience of at least 8 years in the defense industry as a System Engineer of a multidisciplinary system (experience in avionic systems - advantage).
• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering (M.Sc. - advantage).
• M.Sc. in System Engineering (advantage).
• Experience in writing engineering documents.
• Ability to work according to a workplan, in a dynamic and challenging multi-project environment and deliver results.
• An organized individual with a methodological approach.
• An individual with a can-do and success-oriented approach, that demonstrates a practical approach for solving problems, based on strong engineering skills and deep understanding.
• Hands-on experience in R&D and passion for building prototypes.
• Experience with full project lifecycle (from “A to Z”) starting from the idea phase up to the serial production phase and full implementation in the field.
• An individual which is highly motivated, energetic, and a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with system safety aspects of systems that contain munition (advantage).
