We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to build and lead the finance function in our organization. This is a first finance hire role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will play a critical part in shaping financial strategy, planning, risk management, and revenue monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, leadership experience, and a proactive approach to financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support business objectives.
• Monitor revenue streams, financial transactions, and expenditures, ensuring financial stability and identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Establish financial controls, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and mitigate risks.
• Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team, supporting data-driven decision-making and long-term planning.
• Collaborate with external financial service providers, including accounting firms and outsourced finance teams, to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Identify and assess financial risks, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and operations.
• Lead and manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Optimize cash flow management and ensure timely invoicing, payroll processing, and vendor payments.
• Support investment and funding initiatives, preparing financial analyses and business models to guide company growth.
• Analyze and interpret complex financial data, providing actionable insights to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in SaaS or technology-driven companies.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, planning, and risk management.
• Experience in working with outsourced finance services and managing external financial vendors.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills with a deep understanding of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis).
• BSc/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA or MBA is an advantage.
• Experience with Product-Led Growth (PLG) companies is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of financial management software and tools.
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and operational efficiencies.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of working cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
