Head of Breeding (3316)

We are seeking an experienced Head of Breeding to lead advanced breeding programs.

This role requires strong leadership, scientific expertise, and a commercially-driven mindset to drive innovation and align breeding efforts with market needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute breeding strategies.
• Lead research initiatives, experimental lab and field trials and data-driven selection processes.
• Manage and mentor a team of breeders and technical staff.
• Work cross-functionally with R&D, commercial, and production teams.
• Oversee budget planning, progress tracking, and reporting.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Plant Breeding or Plant Genetics - MUST.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial breeding programs, with F1 hybrid seeds experience required.
• Proven experience in team management, project leadership, and strategic planning.
• High level of English (written and spoken) is required.
• Expertise in molecular breeding techniques (preferred).
