Senior Data Scientist Opportunity – Lead the Future of Cancer Health Research

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist to spearhead data-driven innovations in a pioneering cancer research institute where groundbreaking research meets cutting-edge data science. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and deployment of advanced machine learning and deep learning models to address complex challenges in cancer research.
• Design, implement, and optimize image processing models with a strong emphasis on developing computer vision/image processing models, particularly with CT, MRI, and mammography images.
• Leverage pre-trained deep learning models to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the analysis of medical images.
• Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary research team to design and execute innovative research methodologies.
• Continuously explore and integrate the latest data science libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, pandas, Numpy, and spaCy.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience in developing computer vision/image processing models.
• Preference for experience with medical images such as CT, MRI, or mammography.
• 7+ years of hands-on industry experience in developing and fine-tuning machine learning and deep learning models.
• 5+ years of experience, specifically in developing Deep Learning models.
• Proven expertise in using data science libraries and frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, pandas, Numpy, and spaCy.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, a proactive approach to self-learning, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
• Expertise in natural language processing (NLP) techniques and frameworks is an advantage.
• Advanced degree (MSc or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in the health or biomedical sectors.

Familiarity with healthcare data privacy and security guidelines.
