Director of Operational Excellence

A well-established and successful consulting firm specializing in operational excellence is seeking a senior professional to take on the role of Director of Operational Excellence.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional with an engineering background and a strong track record as an operational consultant or operations manager in the industrial sector. The position includes full responsibility for leading the consulting division as an independent profit and loss unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the consulting division for industrial companies, with a focus on heavy industry, manufacturing plants, logistics, and warehouses
• Design and oversee complex consulting processes, developing tailored solutions to improve profitability and streamline operational processes
• Drive business development efforts, including expanding client portfolios, acquiring new clients, and initiating strategic partnerships
• Manage and mentor a team of consultants, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality project delivery
• Spearhead innovative projects to support continuous growth and achieve strategic goals
• Play an integral role in organizational development and leading advanced operational transformations, particularly in supply chain optimization, automation, and robotics

This is a Full-time position based in central Israel, with the flexibility of hybrid work.

Requirements:

• A degree in Industrial Engineering & Management or Mechanical Engineering – mandatory.
• Extensive experience as an operational consultant for industrial companies or as an operations manager in the industry with prior consulting experience.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale operational projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and inventory optimization.
• Advantage: Experience with automation, robotics, and advanced technologies in industrial operations.
• Business development experience, including client acquisition and expanding existing business operations – mandatory.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to manage a P&L unit and implement innovative solutions
• Managerial experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
