Position: Information/Technology Specialist (Library and Information Systems)

*Job Description*
The role includes responsibility for managing computer systems, applications, and digital information in the library. This includes overseeing and maintaining the technological infrastructure and systems that support library services. The position also involves evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve and enhance library services and resources for both students and faculty.

*Key Responsibilities*
- Managing the library's digital systems and applications
- Providing ongoing technical support for library staff and users
- Assisting in the development of new technological tools and platforms to enhance library services
- Collaborating with academic and IT staff to integrate new technologies into the library environment
- Supporting the implementation of digital resources, online databases, and e-books
- Providing training to library staff and users on technological resources

*Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Library Science, or a related field

Qualifications

Library Science, Metadata, and Library Management skills
Experience in Library Services and Library Instruction
Knowledge of academic library systems and best practices
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff
Master's degree in Library or Information Science
