Backend Team Leader

An innovative technology company is seeking an experienced Back-End Team Leader to lead and mentor a team of developers. This role involves ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality features by guiding the team, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical authority, providing solutions to complex challenges and driving best practices. While this is not a hands-on coding role, a strong understanding of back-end technologies is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of four back-end developers, offering mentorship and technical direction.
• Collaborate with the Product team to define goals and ensure smooth feature delivery.
• Oversee code reviews to maintain best coding practices and foster continuous improvement.
• Act as the technical authority for back-end development, solving complex issues and guiding architectural decisions.
• Drive the delivery of high-quality software through strong development processes.
• Create a collaborative, innovative, and supportive team culture.
• Provide strategic input for technical solutions and improvements in system architecture.
  
  

• Proven experience as a Back-End Team Leader or in a similar leadership position.
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails (version 6 or above)- an advantage
• Experience with GO/Scala From analytics-driven companies or other companies handling high-scale production and data systems
• Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures, including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and team management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive leadership approach.
• Experience working in Agile environments, leading teams through sprints and iterative development.
