Hunters is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer who will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud and database infrastructure. The engineer we are looking for is not only passionate about infrastructure but also thrives on developing, securing, and optimizing it. He/She/They dares to take responsibility for the ownership of Hunters’ reliability. Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Development: Demonstrates a fervent commitment to software development, continuously striving to push the boundaries and deliver innovative solutions.
• Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure cloud and database infrastructure solutions that meet our business needs.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to identify and resolve infrastructure issues proactively. Continuously optimize infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance.
• Cloud Services: Utilize cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP to build and manage infrastructure components, including virtual machines, container orchestration, and serverless computing.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance standards. Implement security controls and encryption mechanisms.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with software development teams to provide infrastructure support and guidance, ensuring seamless integration of applications with the infrastructure.
• Database Management: Manage and optimize database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security along with the ability to handle database restructuring/refactoring.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership within the infrastructure development team.
• Reliability: Experience with designing and implementing disaster recovery solutions

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years as Devops Engineer, with a track record of successful project implementations.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• Proficiency with container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Extensive experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including the ability to design and deploy infrastructure on these platforms.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog.
• Experience optimizing system performance, cost management, and designing for scalability & high availability.
• Experience with CI/CD best practices and tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI etc.
• Experience with GitOps best practices is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and security fundamentals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
• Experience as a software developer (Python, Scala, Go )-- An Advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)- An Advantage.
