Job Description:

1. Preparing teaching laboratories for students, providing guidance in labs, assisting in courses, and supporting students and researchers in operating laboratory equipment and conducting experiments.
2. Maintaining teaching laboratories: organizing and inspecting equipment before and after experiments and performing routine maintenance on laboratory instruments.
3. Providing assistance and guidance to students working in laboratories and conducting final projects and research as part of advanced degrees.
4. Procuring equipment and components for teaching and research laboratories: managing price quotes from suppliers, inventory planning and management, budgeting expenses and revenues, etc.
5. Assisting in planning, executing, developing, and renewing experiments; generating, analyzing, and processing data and results; and preparing reports and articles in the department's research and teaching laboratories.
6. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations in all activities, in accordance with legal requirements.
7. Providing support and backup to department personnel.
8. Performing additional tasks as instructed by the supervisor.
9. Reporting to: Department Engineer.

Job Requirements:

1. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Life Sciences.
2. Four years of experience in relevant fields.
3. Experience in working with animal cell cultures, microbiology, molecular biology (PCR, advanced biochemical-molecular techniques), and biomaterials.
4. Experience in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
5. Experience with analytical methods for chemical and biological processes, including cell cultures, bacteria, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetic engineering, chemistry, and microscopy.
6. Preferably, experience in teaching or training.

תיאור התפקיד:

א. הכנת מעבדות הוראה לסטודנטים, הדרכה במעבדות, ליווי הקורסים וסיוע מעבדתי לסטודנטים וחוקרים בתפעול מכשור המעבדה וביצוע ניסויים.

ב. תחזוקת מעבדות ההוראה: סידור ובדיקת מכשירים לפני ואחרי ביצוע ניסויים, ביצוע תחזוקה שוטפת של מכשור מעבדות ההוראה.

ג. מתן סיוע והדרכה לסטודנטים הלומדים במעבדות והמבצעים פרויקטי גמר ומחקר במסגרת תארים מתקדמים.

ד. ביצוע רכש ציוד ורכיבים למעבדות ההוראה והמחקר: ניהול הצעות מחיר עם ספקים, ניהול ותכנון מלאי הציוד, ניהול תקציב הוצאות הכנסות וכו'.

ה. סיוע בתכנון, ביצוע, פיתוח וחידוש ניסויים, הפקה, ניתוח ועיבוד נתונים ותוצאות, עריכת דוחות ומאמרים במעבדות המחקר וההוראה במחלקה.

ו. אחריות על סדרי הבטיחות במסגרת פעילותו, בהתאם לדרישות החוק.

ז. מתן סיוע וגיבוי לבעלי התפקיד במחלקה.

ח. ביצוע מטלות נוספות בהנחיית הממונה.

דרישות התפקיד:

א. תואר אקדמי ראשון או שני בהנדסת ביוטכנולוגיה או הנדסה כימית או כימיה או מדעי החיים.

ב. ניסיון של 4 שנים בתחומים רלוונטיים.

ג. ניסיון עבודה בגידול תרביות תאים אנימליים, מיקרוביולוגיה, ביולוגיה מולקולרית (PCR שיטות ביוכימיות-מולקולריות מתקדמות) וביו-חומרים.

ד. ניסיון עבודה בתפעול ואחזקת ציוד מעבדתי.

ה. ניסיון עבודה בשיטות אנליטיות לתהליכים כימיים וביולוגיים: בתרביות תאים, חיידקים, בביוכימיה, בביולוגיה מולקולרית, בהנדסה גנטית, בכימיה ומיקרוסקופיה.

ו. רצוי-ניסיון בהדרכה.
