It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan for more than 23 years, providing emergency relief and implementing life-changing development projects for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. Islamic Relief set up our first Afghanistan office in 1999. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in emergency relief, food security, livelihood, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan and Qurbani programmes.

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Learn and support the development and implementation of protection strategies and interventions.
• Learn and support and provide protection support to the program and Integrated Protection in their daily implementation process.
• Learn and support the program team in preparing the filling system and make sure all the files are up to date.
• Learn and support the team in preparing an updated service mapping form and keep it updated.
• Assist in Providing Protection training and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and awareness campaigns on human rights and protection issues at the office and field level.
• Keep updated records of all protection data in soft and hard.
• Provide administrative support such as data entry, case management, and report preparation.
• Support the Protection team and prepare documents when required for Compliance.
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Sharia, Political Science, international relations, Human Rights, or a related field.
  
  

Experience

• No Experience Required- Fresh Graduate
  
  

Competency

• Good Communication Skills (English / Pashto and Dari)
• Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers, scanners
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize
• Computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet) is an advantage
