Job Description

The VP R&D will lead our research and development efforts, overseeing the entire technological strategy and execution. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive innovation while managing a growing team of engineers and researchers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, AI/ML technologies, and cloud-based architectures, along with a strong ability to align R&D initiatives with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

● Define and own the R&D strategy, roadmap, and goals

● Implement cutting-edge R&D methodologies and best practices

● Build and scale the R&D team, including hiring, mentoring, and coaching

● Oversee projects involving computer vision and deep learning

● Collaborate with Product & Domain experts to align architecture and technology with customer needs

● Be a key member of the leadership team, shaping the company’s growth and direction

Required Qualifications

● 7+ years of experience leading R&D teams

● Background in early-stage startups, with a hands-on, execution-driven approach

● Strong technical versatility, with experience across multiple platforms and technologies

● Proven ability to evaluate the performance of R&D projects

● Deep understanding of the connection between development and business impact

● Experience in agile product development

● A true leader and problem-solver, with a can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills

● Preference given to candidates with experience leading the development of products that rely on Computer Vision and ML technologies.
