Software Team Lead

About The Position

A leading company in the AI-driven maritime industry is looking for an experienced Software Team Lead to drive the future of autonomous shipping. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with team management in a fast-growing environment.

What will you do?

• Lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a team of engineers
• Design scalable and maintainable architecture
• Work closely with Product Management to align with business goals
• Collaborate with Algo & System teams
• Define software engineering processes & standards with a broad impact
• Lead a team of 5 engineers while contributing to the company’s hyper-growth
• Report directly to VP R&D

Requirements

✅ B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent

✅ 8+ years of experience in software engineering (startup experience preferred)

✅ 3+ years leading engineering teams

✅ Strong backend expertise: Python, Docker, AWS-based systems, K8s, SQL & NoSQL databases, message queues

✅ Experience with multithreading/tasking applications

✅ Scalable & high-availability system design experience

✅ Experience in front-end development (preferably Angular 2+)

✅ Worked in a CI/CD environment

✅ Test-driven development (TDD) & test frameworks

Advantages

⭐ Experience with computer vision & AI-driven products

⭐ Experience with video systems (streaming, media servers, etc.)

⭐ Familiarity with Gitlab, InfluxDB, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, Pytorch, AWS (SQS, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS)

Location: Tel Aviv

📍 Work arrangement: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote
