Project Security Coordinator

A global company specializing in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors is searching for their next Project Security Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• provide specialist support to HSSE Regulations and Compliance Manager for the management of security risks, ensuring that the laws in force and regulatory system are always respected.
• provide technical and organizational support to the Corporate/ Subsidiary/Branch Security Function for the management and monitoring of security activities.
• support the HSSE Regulations and Compliance Manager in the management of local crisis and emergency situations and contribute to the development and updating of adequate evacuation plans.
• ensure immediate reporting of second-level or higher emergencies to the Corporate Security Function, providing a description of the event together with the solutions adopted.
• inform HSSE Regulations and Compliance Manager and the Corporate Security Function, and of the Subsidiary/Branch concerned about any security relevant event (including violations of human rights) that occurs at the Company/Branch/Production Unit level or specific permanent site or project site; detect and record security events and other relevant security data for the purpose of monitoring security performance.
• contribute to the due diligence activities in the selection of suppliers and the technical assessment of supplier offers for security services and ensure the monitoring of the execution of contracts related to security services, including the quality of services, costs and times of the activities carried out by providers.
• ensure the management of the operational activities of the security process, in line with the guidelines and coordination exercised by the Corporate Security Function; make specialist skills available for the development and operation of the security management system for the relevant sites, ensuring that it meets local requirements and regulations.
• monitor the security activities performance, including security providers.
• ensure an overall view of the security resources and skills available at the Subsidiary/Branch level, ensuring the optimal allocation of the same in relation to the needs of the various sites/projects.
• guarantee the technical qualification of suppliers and participate in the technical assessments for the relevant security contracts.
• approve the operating manuals for security and concierge services required of security service providers before they become operational.
• ensure and promote the highest level of conduct in line with the values of integrity and in compliance with the Code of Ethics and more generally with the Organization, management and control model aimed at ensuring adequate operability of the related internal control system and risk management.

Qualifications

• Military or police service experience, with a honorable discharge; Senior Non Commissioned Officer/Officer rank, preferably with an intelligence background. Experience in the private security sector, in a similar position, is a plus.
• No Criminal record.
• Security Risk Analysis and Threat Assessment skills.
• Skilled at writing and reviewing security plans and procedures .
• Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with local authorities, Project Management Team members at all levels, and to operate in a multinational environment.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent technological skills (ICT).
