Data Scientist

A startup in the AI sector is developing technology that predicts flight ticket prices for online travel agencies. For example, the system can determine the optimal time for booking to ensure the lowest price.

The company operates a SaaS system for predicting and booking flight prices for travel agencies worldwide, including the U.S., Europe, China, and more.

The team consists of about 70 employees, located in Tel Aviv near a train line, and operates under a flexible hybrid work model, with no specific set days for working from home or the office employees can work up to four days from home.

The company is profitable, with dozens of active clients, and is in the process of connecting with dozens more. Last June, they passed the break-even point, becoming profitable on their own. Additionally, leading investment funds are actively investing in the company.

About the role-

• Role within the Data Science team in the Research department.
• Manage ML models end-to-end, from research to production.
• Responsibilities include data collection, monitoring, evaluation, and improving model performance.
• Work with massive datasets (tens to hundreds of millions of records), primarily tabular data with a focus on textual information.
• Use boosting algorithms for optimization, reinforcement learning, and causal inference.
• Tasks include classification, regression, prediction, ML/DL pipelines, EDA, training, inference, and monitoring.
• Coding in Python with relevant libraries.

Requirements-

• 5 years of experience in machine learning and related fields preferably with experience with tabular data
• Proficiency in Python programming language
• Extensive relevant prior experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
• Prior experience developing end to end ML/DL pipelines in production enviornments (EDA, Training, Inference, Monitoring)
• BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (MSc or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is considered an advantage
