Engineering Manager
Location: Tel Aviv, Israel

LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions (LMS) business has experienced accelerated growth, topping $5B in annual revenue. LMS products impact how businesses and brands sell, buy, advertise, and connect globally. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to build and lead our Signals classification team, and drive continued success of the business.
Data is at the heart of LMS business and the foundation for the LMS growth. Based in Israel, the Signals Classification team’s vision is to transform data into intelligent growth opportunities for B2B businesses. Our team is solving interesting challenges of processing large data amounts, inferring them into insightful signals to drive growth impact to LinkedIn LMS customers.
This is a unique opportunity to join the LinkedIn Israel Site, at its significant stages of building the evolving technology of Signals, in LinkedIn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the engineering team that will implement a new large scaled data and AI models
- Be a role model and professionally coach engineers to help them realize their potential.
- Have the ability to dive deep into technical discussions to challenge the status quo, and steer the team in the right direction/to push the envelope.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across engineering and business leadership.
- Participate with senior management in developing a long-term product and technology roadmap.
- Drive a culture of operational excellence. Lead the team into defining performance goals, metrics and building the infrastructure and tooling necessary to maintain a high quality bar and detect issues in real time.
- Create an inclusive work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation and learning, while holding a high bar for quality.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5+ years of management experience
- 5+ years of hands-on building of scalable products involving machine learning technology, on top of distributed systems and data pipeline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on software engineering/technical management and people management experience
- 7+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
- 5+ years programming experience in languages such as Java, Scala, Python, etc.
- Experience in the design and development of performant, highly available, scalable web applications
- Understanding of common performance patterns and anti-patterns in distributed systems
- Successful track record of managing small teams of engineers to deliver multiple projects on time and with quality
- Active involvement in the creation and execution of technical strategies and roadmaps
- Hands-on experience in data modeling and machine learning (LLM) - major advantage
