Datacenter Technician

A leading high-tech company is looking for a Data Center Technician with experience in the field to join a professional team. The position is available in multiple locations: Central, Rishon Lezion, and Northern areas.

Job Description:

• Troubleshoot a variety of server issues and identify technical problems.
• Order replacement parts and install them in servers.
• Update firmware on servers to ensure the latest version is installed.
• Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.
• Assist network admins with server-related issues, including replacing broken cables, re-routing cables, replacing optics on servers and switches, and upgrading server components.
• Temporarily rack and stack servers and switches in cabinets and cable them for network admins to log in remotely and configure the devices.
• Provide technical support to network admins regarding server or switch-related issues.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in server and network support.
• Knowledge in server configuration, including IP setup and hardware replacement.
• Experience with firmware updates on servers.
• Familiarity with VMware or virtualization systems.
• In-depth understanding of hardware, cables, switches, and networking equipment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
