Embedded Software Engineer

A startup company developing and manufacturing kinetic energy harvesters and advanced wireless sensing solutions. The company focuses on developing a sensing product embedded within vehicle tires, transmitting unique data and insights to the vehicle and the cloud that other sensors on the market cannot provide.

Located in central Israel, the company operates on a hybrid work model with two remote workdays per week.

The role involves Low-Level development close to the chip, without operating systems, using C/C++ and Python. The work includes integration with ARM, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Bluetooth (BL).

Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain embedded systems, including developing and optimizing drivers such as ADC, DMA, and CLK.

● Implementing efficient communication protocols such as SPI, UART, and BLE (BLE knowledge is a plus).

● Collaborate with the mechanical engineering and hardware design team to ensure the algorithms meet the requirements.

● Develop and implement efficient signal-processing algorithms.

● Conduct testing and debugging of embedded systems to ensure they meet functional requirements.

Requirements:

● Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Electrical Engineering - advantage).

● At least 5 years of experience in embedded systems development.

● Strong programming skills in C/C++ or Python - advantage.

● Experience with microcontrollers such as ARM.

● Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and BLE (BLE is a plus).

● Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks - advantage.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
