Head of Master Data

The Head of Master Data is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the company’s master data strategy and governance framework.

This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of master data across the organization to support business operations, analytics, and strategic decision-making.

***Key Responsibilities***

Master Data Strategy & Governance

• Develop and implement a robust master data management (MDM) strategy.
• Establish and enforce master data policies, standards, and processes.
• Define data ownership roles and responsibilities across the organization.

Data Quality Management

• Monitor and improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all business functions.
• Lead initiatives to cleanse and enrich master data to support business operations.
• Implement data validation processes and quality controls.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, IT) to understand data requirements.
• Act as a liaison between business units to resolve data-related issues.
• Educate stakeholders on the importance of master data governance.

Technology, Tools and Finance excellence

• Evaluate, implement, and manage tools for master data management and data governance.
• Collaborate with IT to integrate master data solutions with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.).

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 master data specialists.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field.

Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.

Hands-on experience with MDM tools, data governance frameworks, and ERP/CRM systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
