WhatAIStory is looking for a self starter Software Engineer (part-time, equity-based, fully remote) to help refine and expand our AI-powered book creation platform. This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to an innovative product while sharing in the company’s future success.

About WhatAIStory.

We are developing an AI-driven storytelling platform that empowers individuals to effortlessly preserve and share their personal and family stories.

Using Large Language Models (LLMs), we create an intuitive, interactive experience that transforms memories into beautifully crafted narratives.

What You’ll Do -

- Enhance AI Storytelling Capabilities – Improve LLM-based text generation and narrative flow.

- Develop and Fine-Tune Prompts – Optimize AI responses to be engaging, human-like, and contextually relevant.

- Leverage Psychology & Interview Techniques – Apply memory recall and conversational methodologies to enhance user experience.

- Implement Platform Features – Collaborate with the development team to build and refine core functionalities.

- Take Ownership of the Codebase – Work alongside the current developer to maintain, improve, and scale the platform.

- You have a strong technical foundation and enjoy working in dynamic environments.

- You’re excited about AI, storytelling, and innovative ways to preserve memories.

- You’re fast learner and self-starter.

Nice to Have -

- Experience with narrative structures and storytelling principles.

- Understanding of memory recall techniques and interview methodologies.

Technical Stack (Preferred Experience)

- Frontend: Vue.js, Quasar, Tailwind CSS, Pinia.

- Backend: TypeScript (Node.js), tRPC, PostgreSQL.
