Senior High Tech Corporate Lawyer

Legato, a legal services company, aiming to revolutionize the way legal services are provided to tech startups, is looking for an Associate General Counsel. This is an amazing opportunity to disrupt the old-fashioned legal services market and join a promising business at an early stage. You will take part in disrupting the legal function and taking it from the typewriter era to the age of process automation and AI.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and hands-on legal counsel on all legal matters relevant to tech startups, including fundraising, corporate governance, and other business and operational matters.
• Work closely with the management to handle strategic legal matters, identify legal issues, and develop legal strategies and solutions.
• Build methodologies and procedures and take an active role in structuring and scaling our legal knowledge and services.

Qualifications

• Collaborative working and great interpersonal skills.
• At least four years practice as a lawyer in an established high-tech practice of a leading Israeli or US firm.
• Proficient legal experience in startup investments, corporate governance, and other day-to-day aspects of startups.
• Passion to technology and ability to understand technological processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
• LLB or JD from a top-tier law school.
• Member of the Israeli Bar Association or a US State Bar.
