Global Planning and Purchasing Manager

Description

As a Planning & Purchasing Manager, you will lead, manage and develop global planning and procurement activity & execution of key categories.

You will be responsible for a team dedicated to business planning, purchasing; sourcing and managing global.

Responsibilities

Responsibility for cross-organizational purchasing activities.

Develop and implement planning and purchasing strategies to support production requirements.

Develop and implement planning and purchasing strategies, standards, processes and methodologies.

Handling the day-to-day functioning of corporate Procurement function, including sourcing, purchasing and vendor management.

Establish corporate standards and increase leverage of company-wide supplier spend.

Provide leadership and optimization of the function, implementing the best end to end vendor selection and management processes.

Establish balanced scorecard metrics (cost, quality, service, etc.) that drive accountabilities for all major categories of spend.

Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness, assess, manage and mitigate risks.

Evaluate supplier performance and maintain relationships to ensure reliability and consistency in the supply chain.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in planning and procurement management – must (preferably in the field of sensors, construction or infrastructure).
• Engineer or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, industry and management, project management or a relevant field.
• Experience in global managing employees abroad - must.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment - a significant advantage.
• Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to coach, develop and drive others to results.
• Knowledge in all planning (business and production planning) and procurement process disciplines.
• Well-developed negotiation and communication skills with various audiences globally.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Readiness for intensive and often under-pressure work.
• Full command of Office software and ability to work with ERP systems - must.
• Fluent in English (ability to negotiate) - must.
