Business Intelligence Lead

We are a small (20 people) and well funded (after A round) start up company in the Ed-Tech sector, located in TLV (hybrid work model).

We're seeking an experienced Lead BI Developer to architect and implement our data visualization and analytics solutions.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving data-informed decisions across marketing, product development, and executive management, directly impacting our company's strategic direction and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement our BI architecture, including data models, ETL processes, and visualization solutions
•  Architect and optimize our semantic layer to ensure consistent business logic and metrics
• Drive adoption of modern data tools and establish technical standards
• Collaborate with data engineering on data modeling and query optimization
• Build and maintain marketing analytics dashboards to drive campaign performance and ROI analysis
• Develop product metrics and insights to guide feature development and product strategy
• Create executive dashboards and reports to support strategic decision-making
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in business intelligence development
• Expert-level SQL proficiency and experience with modern query engines (BigQuery, Trino, Athena, Snowflake)
• Strong experience with at least one modern BI platform (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Superset/Preset) and its development framework
• Proven experience with dbt and semantic modeling tools
• Deep understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and data warehousing principles
• Experience with query optimization and various view materialization strategies
• Strong background in data modeling, schema design, and data governance
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong background in statistics and statistical analysis is a plus
