About MATANA 

MATANA is a live marketplace app where users can buy and sell secondhand digital items—ranging from gift cards and vouchers to event tickets and discounts. We’re a one-founder startup supported by Hub.Shenkar, an accelerator offering strategic guidance, resources, and networking. Our goal is to make it easy and secure for people to monetize digital assets they no longer need.

Role Overview

As our React Native Mobile Developer Intern, you’ll work directly with MATANA's founder to build new features, improve performance, and refine the user experience of our live app (available on the App Store). Your contributions will have immediate impact on our growing marketplace community.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Implement, test, and refine functionalities within our React Native app.
• Bug Fixing & Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks, debug issues, and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Collaboration with Founder: Help set development priorities and integrate feedback from users and stakeholders.
• Innovation: Propose ideas for new features, UI/UX improvements, and strategic enhancements to stay competitive in the secondhand digital marketplace.

Qualifications

• Technical Foundation: Basic proficiency in React Native, JavaScript, and version control (Git).
• Self-Starter: Comfortable doing research and solving problems independently, given minimal in-house dev mentorship (though Hub.Shenkar resources are available).
• Adaptability: Able to pivot quickly and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
• Passion for Marketplace Tech: Genuine enthusiasm for the concept of reselling digital items.

Compensation

• Unpaid Internship: This role is currently unpaid. However, you will gain significant hands-on experience in building and scaling a live marketplace app.
• Future Opportunities: A successful internship could lead to part-time or full-time employment—and potentially a co-founder role—depending on mutual fit and performance.
