Python Developer with Data Science Background

CyberWell is seeking a versatile developer with a passion for AI and Data Science in OSINT to join our small but dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in developing AI/Data Science-related products (an advantage), be familiar with both frontend and backend development (an advantage), and possess a strong analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. This role requires the ability to act both as a Developer and a Project Manager.

This position is full-time and is available for immediate start. We work in a hybrid format and are in our Tel Aviv office 3 days a week. This position will report to the Head of Product.

About Us

CyberWell is a start-up nonprofit with technology at its core. We drive the enforcement and improvement of community standards and hate speech policies across the digital space, while empowering efforts to eradicate Jew-hatred with data and real-time insights. After launching the first ever open database of online antisemitism in 2022, CyberWell is the premier research, identification, and monitoring center for tracking antisemitism across social media platforms in multiple languages, globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to and collaborate directly with the Head of Product on products and development initiatives.
• Part of the position includes serving as an integral part of an external development team that builds AI-related solutions for CyberWell. You will learn, contribute, gain deep knowledge, and act as a key point of contact.
• Work closely with internal Analysts to understand their challenges, workflows, and methods. Brainstorm in-product solutions, draft specifications, and manage the development process with external partners.
• Interact and coordinate with external 3rd-party development and product teams.
• Oversee both large-scale and focused architectures, ensuring seamless integrations.
• Plan and participate in brainstorming sessions on solution architecture and data analysis methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to work independently, research, manage, and lead initiatives while interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Experience or familiarity with the following technologies:
• Strong background in Python
• Cloud services administration (e.g. AWS, Azure)
• Data Science and AI tools and frameworks (Pandas, Jupyter, TensorFlow, etc.)
• Databases (e.g. MongoDB, MSSQL)
