We are looking for an exceptional and visionary VP R&D to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the executive team, you will be responsible for defining the R&D strategy, methodologies, and best practices to drive operational excellence and innovation.

Our vision for the VP of R&D is to elevate the entire R&D organization, fostering top-tier technology and infrastructure while scaling the teams to new heights.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams across Backend, Full Stack, QA, Automation, and all Infrastructure-related domains, including DevOps, FinOps, Data Infra Engineers, and ML Ops. This role demands a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building a world-class R&D organization.

Responsibilities:

• Be a key member of the executive leadership team, shaping the company’s technology strategy and vision.
• Define and execute the R&D strategy, optimizing workflows and ensuring efficiency across teams.
• Lead multiple teams and leaders, building long-term growth plans and driving execution.
• Deliver high-quality software solutions, ensuring scalability, modularity, and performance under tight schedules.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuously seeking improvements and new technologies to maintain a cutting-edge R&D organization.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Science teams to ensure seamless integration of AI-driven technologies into our products.
• Oversee architecture decisions, setting the technical direction, and ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
• Maintain 100% customer satisfaction by ensuring excellent product design, development, and implementation.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a VP R&D or in a similar leadership role within a global startup, managing 30+ R&D professionals across BackEnd, DevOps, Data Infra, ML Ops, and other domains.
• Strong leadership skills, including daily management, recruiting, mentoring, and inspiring teams to excellence.
• Passion for innovation, operational excellence, and being an active member of the executive team, collaborating with senior leadership.
• Experience working closely with Data Science teams and integrating AI-driven technologies into production.
• Vast experience with cloud service providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Experience in building high-performance, fault-tolerant, and large-scale systems.
• Strong background in working with the most advanced technologies in the market.
• Ability to balance business needs with a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.
