Product Designer

Job Overview:

At PDQ, we're transforming the online store experience for merchants through innovative, user-friendly tools. We're seeking a passionate and experienced Product Designer to join our team as the design expert within the organization. You'll have a significant impact on our product and brand, shaping our complex, feature-rich platform into an intuitive and user-friendly experience.

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end design process for new features and improvements, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders.
• Create elegant, user-friendly interfaces that maintain the product's complex capabilities.
• Develop and maintain a design system to ensure consistency and scalability across our platform.
• Conduct user research, analyze feedback, and use data-driven insights to inform design decisions.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to clearly communicate design concepts.
• Collaborate on product strategy to align user needs and business goals.
• Design and produce merchant-facing materials, such as guides or promotional assets (occasional).

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in product design, with a portfolio showcasing complex systems and user-centered solutions.
• Expertise in UX for complex systems, with the ability to simplify workflows without sacrificing functionality.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and experience building and maintaining design systems.
• A strong foundation in user-centered design principles and the ability to conduct and apply user research effectively.
• Experience leading the design lifecycle for features or products, from concept to implementation and iteration.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• A passion for balancing product thinking with visual design, ensuring both user and business needs are met.
