About the Job: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. This role involves managing and optimizing our database systems, including MongoDB, AWS RDS for MS SQL, and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database architecture, performance tuning, and security. Familiarity with BI tools is essential, as is expertise in AWS cloud services. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and optimize MongoDB databases, AWS RDS instances for MS SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure database security, availability, and performance.
• Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient database schemas, indexes, and storage strategies.
• Monitor and optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries, indexes, and configurations.
• Leverage AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudWatch, and IAM to support database operations.
• Facilitate data analysis and reporting by integrating and optimizing BI tools.
• Set up monitoring systems to track database health, performance, and usage metrics.
• Work closely with product owners, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Proficient in managing MongoDB, including replication, sharding, and performance tuning.
• Strong expertise in AWS RDS, specifically MS SQL and PostgreSQL administration.
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to support reporting and visualization needs.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python or Shell for automation and database management.
• Solid understanding of AWS services like Lambda, CloudWatch, and S3.
• Experience with database migration, version upgrades, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with database auditing and compliance.
• Familiarity with NoSQL database technologies beyond MongoDB.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Database – Specialty or MongoDB Certified DBA.
