System Expert

Comm-IT is seeking a System Specialist for a role that includes:

• Performing system-related tasks such as installing and upgrading systems, applications, and products; improving server performance, troubleshooting, writing scripts and more.
• Setting up and supporting numerous Windows Servers, virtual servers (VMWare), and providing support for workstation infrastructure based on VDI technology.
• Planning, defining, installing, upgrading, and providing ongoing support for Linux, VMWare, Microsoft products, and additional systems as required.
• Continuous monitoring of system health using monitoring tools and responding to incidents.

Requirements:

• Over 6 years of experience as a member of a system team in the field of Microsoft/Linux infrastructure in a medium to large organization.
• Knowledge and experience in setting up, maintaining, and upgrading:
• Windows Servers: 2008/2012/2016/2019
• Microsoft products: Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, PKI, SCCM, SCOM, and others
• VMWare products: Server, Horizon View (VDI), VRealize Orchestrator, VRealize Operation
• Storage systems, vSAN, and backup systems (Veeam)
• Knowledge and experience in writing and understanding scripts in PowerShell – an advantage.
• Ability to plan, implement, and integrate systems in complex architectural environments.
• Proven experience in leading projects.
• Knowledge and experience with storage arrays (NetApp), backup, monitoring, and communication equipment.
• Familiarity with Linux RHEL – an advantage.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Jenkins/Ansible – an advantage.
• Ability to write technical documents.
• Teamwork skills alongside the ability to work and learn independently.
