The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing large R&D teams (100+ employees) and a blend of startup agility and enterprise-level expertise. As Director of Technology, you will drive the development and execution of our technology strategy, aligning it with business objectives and fostering innovation across our tech stack.

About the Role - Responsibilities:

• Shape and execute the technology strategy aligned with business goals
• Lead R&D teams with visionary guidance, promoting innovation
• Monitor industry trends to maintain a competitive edge
• Manage a team of 100+, including software engineers and data scientists
• Mentor tech leaders, ensuring succession planning and talent growth
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative work environment
• Streamline team structures and workflows for productivity
• Oversee tech infrastructure development and maintenance
• Ensure scalable, high-availability architecture
• Implement best practices in development, data management, and system operations
• Manage budgets and resources to optimize tech investments
• Drive innovation with the latest tools and methods
• Oversee complex data pipelines and frameworks
• Advance AI/ML initiatives using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and GPUs
• Utilize DevOps tools for enhanced collaboration and automation
• Liaise with clients to align tech solutions with their needs
• Lead enterprise solution integrations for interoperability and scale

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Required:

• 15+ years in tech leadership, with 3-5 years managing large teams
• Proven track record in startup and enterprise environments
• Success in crafting and implementing growth-oriented tech strategies
• Deep expertise in modern tech stacks:
• Data: Apache Airflow, Dagster, Dask, Apache Beam, Pandas
• Machine Learning: TensorFlow, PyTorch, nVidia GPUs
• DevOps: GitLab, Terraform, Helm, Argo CI/CD
• Cloud: GCP, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage
• Programming: Python, Rust, Java, Node.js, Angular, Scala
• Databases: ClickHouse, MySQL, Redis
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus
• Data visualization: Tableau
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate large, diverse teams
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communicator, adept at engaging with executives, clients, and technical teams
• Skilled in managing budgets, resources, and vendor relations
• Experienced in deploying AI/ML models in production
• Knowledgeable in tech and data compliance requirements
