We're seeking a Senior Director of Research to join us at Mitiga.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead cutting-edge research on cyberattacks in cloud environments, SaaS, Kubernetes, and related technologies.
- Develop innovative methods for attack detection and forensic investigation in cloud ecosystems.
- Continuously refine and update the research program.
- Establish and enforce methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Ensure high-quality research outputs and validate findings.
- Lead, train, and mentor the research team to maintain expertise.
- Approve research outcomes and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Support the development and enhancement of Mitiga's technology and platform.
- Promote Mitiga's expertise globally through conferences, publications, and public engagements.
- Report directly to the VP of R&D.
- 5+ years in a managerial research role within cloud cybersecurity.
- Broad expertise in offensive cyber, forensic investigation, and data security.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (e.g., conference talks, blog posts, articles).
- Experience in managing programming teams, especially in Python.
- Deep expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Proven ability to translate research into actionable engineering insights for cybersecurity products.
