Devops Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Devops Engineer to join the team that is building the next-generation distributed NoSQL database and helping develop our Database as a Service (DBaaS) offering.

The ability to work a second shift and handle frequent on-call duties is a must!

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage AWS/GCP cloud-based production systems to ensure their availability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement and maintain Cloudflare WAF and rate-limiting rules for robust protection against threats.
• Configure and optimize Datadog SIEM for advanced threat detection, anomaly monitoring, and log analysis.
• Develop and enforce AWS/GCP security policies, including fine-grained IAM roles, VPC configurations, and encryption standards.
• Adjust monitoring alerts and integrating security event and incident management capabilities.
• Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical support for issues and participate in on-call duties.
• Troubleshoot and solve system problems.
  
  

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in system operations on Linux.
• At least 2 years of experience with AWS (Networking, EC2, S3, Security, etc).
• At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes.
• At least 2 years of experience with Terraform / Ansible / Saltstack.
• At least 2 years of experience in scripting with Go or Python.
• Experience implementing and managing security tools, including Cloudflare, Datadog SIEM, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or GDPR and their implementation in cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows, or ArgoCD.
• Ability to create clear, concise, and structured documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  

• Relevant experience in a SaaS company.
• Experience with advanced monitoring and security analytics in Datadog SIEM.
• Expertise in secure network design, including Zero Trust Architectures.
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and securing workloads across AWS, GCP, and other providers.
• Experience with Hashicorp Vault or Argo Workflows.
